Alimentos alergênicos na infância: revisão de literatura

Esta revisão tem como objetivo compilar estudos voltados aos principais alimentos alergênicos manifestados em crianças, podendo, desta forma, contribuir com a rápida identificação destes alimentos para os estudiosos da área. Realizou-se uma revisão integrativa, com busca na base de dados na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde, Literatura Latino-americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrievel System Online e na Public/Publish Medline no mês de março de 2022, em português, espanhol e inglês, publicados entre os anos de 2017 a 2022. Os descritores utilizados para a busca dos artigos foram “Food Allergy AND Infant” e “Food hypersensitivity AND Infant”. Dentre eles, os alimentos alergênicos que mais se destacaram foram amendoim e ovo de galinha. A seguir, leite de vaca, peixes e frutos do mar. Os estudos apontam que a maioria das crianças apresentam alergia ao leite de vaca, ovo, trigo, amendoim e frutos do mar, sendo o tratamento mais eficaz a exclusão do alimento da dieta. A hipersensibilidade alimentar pode desaparecer com a idade, mesmo nos casos de reações graves, e sua prevalência sofre variações de acordo com a região e seus hábitos alimentares.
