Desempenho de curto prazo de Ulva fasciata produzida em diferentes densidades em Aquicultura multitrófica integrada

Resumo

Ulva fasciata é uma macroalga verde de curto ciclo de produção amplamente indicada para aquicultura multi-trófica integrada (AMTI).  O presente estudo avaliou o desempenho em curto prazo (7 dias) em seis diferentes densidades de estocagem (de 1 a 6 kg m-3; n=4). Foram determinadas a produção em biomassa fresca (PBM), a taxa de crescimento diário (TCD), as concentrações de carbono, nitrogênio e fósforo e o rendimento de ulvana (RU). Os percentuais em peso seco de C foram de 29,58 ± 0,21 a 31,81 ± 2,08%, de N foram de 5,16 ± 0,53 a 6,01 ± 0,57% e de RU foram de 14,25 ± 2,94 a 17,83 ± 4,03%, mas não diferiram entre as densidades testadas. Foram verificadas diferenças para a concentração de P (0,110 ± 0,010 a 0,137 ± 0,010%), para a PBM (62,05 ± 15,52 a 212,05 ± 26,54 g m-3 dia-1) e para TCD (3,21 ± 0,37 a 5,29 ± 1,15 % dia-1), com maiores percentuais de P e TCD associadas às menores densidades.  As maiores densidades de estocagem se mostraram economicamente mais vantajosas no cultivo, fornecendo maior rendimento da Ulva fasciata por unidade de produção e maior capacidade de retenção dos nutrientes.
