Perfil epidemiológico da mortalidade materna por COVID-19: revisão integrativa

A taxa de mortalidade materna relacionada à COVID-19 foram variáveis e aumentaram na maioria dos países. Portanto, o objetivo deste estudo foi sumarizar as evidências científicas referentes aos casos de mortalidade materna por COVID-19 ao nível global. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de revisão integrativa com busca nas bases: EMBASE, SCOPUS (Elsevier), PUBMED, Web of Science, CINAHL, no período de fevereiro a março de 2022. Os artigos foram pré-triados através do software Rayyan QCRI, os selecionados foram lidos na íntegra e os dados coletados conforme o Critical Appraisal of the Evidence, a hierarquia das evidências pelo Hierarchy of Evidence for Intervention Studies. Foram selecionados 15 publicações, que ocorreram entre os anos de 2020 a 2022, sendo a maior proporção no ano de 2021. Os países de origem dos estudos foram Índia, Estados Unidos, México, Irã, Brasil, Rússia, e um estudo multicêntrico em 16 países. Dois artigos evidenciaram as semanas epidemiológicas e os picos de óbito materno no ano de 2020. Estudos evidenciaram o aumento da Razão de Mortalidade Materna entre os anos de 2020 e 2021 apesar da tendência de queda. Risco e taxa de letalidade foram identificados com elevação. Foi possível identificar o perfil clínico das gestantes que foram a óbito, dentre os quais a faixa etária acima de 35 anos e grupos com comorbidades pré-existentes, apenas um estudo relacionou a deficiência de ferro com agravamento clínico. É possível sugerir com esta revisão que as mulheres gestantes, tendem a ser mais vulneráveis e propensas a agravamentos clínicos por COVID-19.
