A prática médica e o uso do termo de consentimento informado: uma revisão de escopo

Introdução: o termo de consentimento informado (TCI) é um documento ético que tem a função de informar o paciente acerca de determinado procedimento, permitindo que ele possa exercer seu direito de livre autonomia. Não obstante, poucos médicos recebem formação para utilizar o TCI, o que gera um paradoxo visto sua importância no contexto médico e legal. Objetivo: mapear informações a respeito do TCI e sua aplicabilidade no cenário atual. Método: Trata-se de uma revisão de escopo, técnica de análise que permite mapear o conhecimento acerca de determinado tema, possibilitando assim obter um cenário amplo acerca do tema pesquisado. Resultados: Os estudos demonstraram que os médicos reconhecem a importância desse documento na relação médico-paciente e na tomada de decisão compartilhada, entretanto, uma pequena parcela desse grupo acredita que o paciente não tem entendimento suficiente para intervir diretamente sobre sua saúde. Além disso, observou-se um déficit em sua obtenção por falha de comunicação. Conclusão: Observa-se visível presença de lacunas durante a formação acadêmica, com repercussão direta na prática médica, onde muitos médicos se sentem inseguros e despreparados para obter esse documento.
